About maths tools
Maths tools for Australian teachers cover every stage of the primary maths curriculum (v9.0) and the foundations of secondary. The tools here are chosen by practising teachers for how well they fit a real lesson: a warm-up on the whiteboard, a guided-group practice, a worksheet for independent work, or a quick formative check.
By strand you'll find number-sense and place-value tools, automaticity practice (times tables, number facts, 10-frames), fractions, decimals and percentage models, measurement and geometry tools, chance and data visualisers, and word-problem solvers. Tools that generate printable worksheets with answer keys are tagged as print-ready. Interactive tools that work on an IWB or a single tablet are tagged as classroom-display.
Year-level fit is filtered on every card. Foundation to Year 2 leans toward visual models and manipulatives. Years 3–6 includes NAPLAN-style practice, multi-step problems, and fractions/decimal work. Where tools support differentiation (low-floor, high-ceiling tasks), we note it — useful for mixed-ability maths blocks.
