The picture cues follow the same letter–sound associations used in the program, with original clipart created by some very talented artists to represent the same characters and sounds. Children look at the picture and identify the matching letter or sound by placing a peg on the correct answer. If pegs are not available, counters or other small manipulatives can be used instead. Each card provides three letter choices, encouraging children to think carefully before selecting the correct answer. To prepare, simply print the cards, cut them out, and laminate for a durable resource that can be used again and again. Ideal for both the classroom and home, these hands-on activities provide repeated practice with letter–sound recognition in a fun and engaging way, helping children develop confidence and build strong early literacy skills.
