This game targets grammar, spelling, comprehension and vocabulary development and it does it while having lots of fun. There is no better way to learn! Students need explicit teaching of compound words, nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. The ability to identify consonants and vowels is assumed as well as the ability to count syllables. Knowledge of plural and singular forms of nouns is also assumed.

There are explanations of terminology on each board as a memory aide, (see Preview).

Each game has five game boards and sixty word cards. There is a text extract on some of the word cards so the part of speech can be identified. For example,' emerging' can be an adjective or a verb depending on the context.

There are eight games, organised by chapters from the book, roughly in lots of five as there are 39 chapters.
