COMMONLY CONFUSED WORDS Game - ADDITION EDITION - A Game to Banish the Confusion
Overview
Description
When you see the confusion between addition and edition it is usually an incidental skill deficit in a more substantial piece of work. Correcting it may (or may not) result in remediation. This student needs targeted intervention that corrects the confusion or it can persist into adulthood.
This game started out as the CONFUSED WORD GAME for misuse of 'then' and 'than'. It was so effective I decided to make a bank of the misused words I was seeing and this is the next set of confused words I have adapted to the game.
In this package you will receive:
--- 6 Game Boards
--- 48 Sentence Cards
--- Directions
--- Poster Addition Edition
--- Answers
Games are so efficient in addressing skills like this, especially for those students who need lots of practice and, if this is a persistent issue it will need targeted and constant intervention. Include it in the classroom and even send it home for homework if you can. It should only take about a week if frequency is nailed. Some students may need longer. You'll get through more examples with this game than you will with a worksheet, and it's fun as well - BONUS!
